Khris Middleton Returns To Wizards In Multi-Team Sign-and-Trade

Khris Middleton is set to return to the Washington Wizards through a sign-and-trade deal from the Dallas Mavericks. The three-time All-Star agrees a three-year contract reportedly worth up to $17.6 million. The move forms part of a complex six-team exchange involving 11 players, reshaping several rosters at once across the league.

The trade web links Washington, Dallas, Memphis, Detroit, Milwaukee and the Los Angeles Clippers in a single transaction. D’Angelo Russell is expected to move from Washington to the Memphis Grizzlies. Caris LeVert is set to join the Milwaukee Bucks from the Detroit Pistons, with Taurean Prince and Gary Harris going the other way.

The Clippers are also involved, with plans to send John Collins to Detroit as another part of the deal. Middleton’s agreement will be folded into several pending contracts before final league approval. The transaction ties together multiple salary commitments and roster needs, creating one of the offseason’s largest cooperative trades.

Middleton previously played for Washington last season, starting 34 games before a mid-season move. Washington traded Middleton to Dallas in the deal that brought Anthony Davis to D.C. The latest agreement brings Middleton back to a familiar organisation, where the 34-year-old is expected to contribute experience on and off the court.

Across last season with the Wizards and Mavericks, Middleton played 63 games and averaged 10.2 points. The forward also produced 3.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest, offering balanced support. Those figures were below Middleton’s career production but still gave both teams reliable minutes in rotation roles.

Middleton has featured for four franchises during a 14-year NBA career: Detroit Pistons, Milwaukee Bucks, Washington Wizards and Dallas Mavericks. Over 839 regular-season appearances, Middleton holds a career scoring average of 16.1 points. The veteran also averages 4.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists, underlining an all-round offensive impact.
