Harry Wilson Joins Leeds United On Four-Year Deal After Fulham Exit

Harry Wilson has completed a free transfer to Leeds United, signing a four-year deal after leaving Fulham at the end of Wilson’s contract. Aston Villa and Everton had also shown interest, but Leeds secured the Wales international, who becomes the first arrival of the current transfer window at Elland Road.

Leeds had attempted to bring Wilson to the club during the previous summer window, yet that move fell through on deadline day. This latest agreement ends that pursuit, as Leeds turn attention to further business, with links emerging to Southampton midfielder Shea Charles and free agent Julian Brandt.

Much of Fulham’s season discussion focused on whether Wilson would sign fresh terms, since Wilson was in the final year of the existing deal. Fulham offered a new contract, but Wilson decided not to commit and instead opted for the long-term opportunity with Leeds United.

Wilson leaves Fulham after producing strong attacking numbers in 2025-26. The forward registered 10 Premier League goals and seven assists, giving 17 direct goal contributions. That total is the highest for a Fulham player in a single Premier League season since Dimitar Berbatov recorded 18 goal involvements in the 2012-13 campaign.

The Wales international featured 36 times in the Premier League last season and ended as Fulham’s top scorer. Wilson scored those 10 league goals from an expected goals figure of just 5.8. Wilson also led Fulham for shots with 78 attempts and recorded 25 efforts on target.

Only Alex Iwobi created more chances for Fulham last season, with 44 key passes compared with Wilson’s 39. Those numbers underline why several Premier League clubs monitored Wilson’s situation and why Leeds identified the forward as a priority target once Wilson became available.
