The Kerala Cricket League (KCL) Season 3 auction concluded with all six franchises completing their squads for the 2026 season, setting the stage for another exciting edition of the tournament.
A total of 107 players will feature in the upcoming season, with 89 players earning contracts through the auction after an intense bidding process. Ahead of the auction, the six franchises had already retained 18 players, providing each team with a strong core before entering the bidding war.
The auction produced several headline-making deals. Sibin Gireesh emerged as the most expensive player, joining Alleppey Ripples for ₹11.80 lakh, while Krishna Devan was snapped up by Calicut Globstars for ₹11.20 lakh. Veteran batter Sachin Baby became the third-costliest acquisition after Alleppey Ripples secured his services for ₹10 lakh.
Among the other notable buys were Abdul Bazith (Calicut Globstars, ₹8 lakh), Vishnu Vinod (Trivandrum Royals, ₹7.80 lakh), Ajnas M (Aries Kollam Sailors, ₹7 lakh), MD Nidheesh (Aries Kollam Sailors, ₹6.60 lakh), and Nikhil M, who was retained by Trivandrum Royals through the Right to Match (RTM) card for ₹6.40 lakh.
With squads now finalized, all six teams – Alleppey Ripples, Aries Kollam Sailors, Calicut Globstars, Kochi Blue Tigers, Thrissur Titans, and Trivandrum Royals – will shift their focus to preparations for the third edition of the Kerala Cricket League, which starts from August 20.
