ICC World Cup 2027 Venues: Full List of Stadiums Announced for ODI World Cup

The International Cricket Council has officially confirmed the 12 host venues for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027, marking the tournament’s return to Africa after 24 years.

South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia will jointly stage the 14-team, 50-over showpiece under the theme “Three Nations, One Heartbeat.”

The announcement came during a ceremony in Johannesburg attended by South African cricket legends including Graeme Smith, Makhaya Ntini, Hashim Amla, Temba Bavuma and Kagiso Rabada, alongside Zimbabwe’s Hamilton Masakadza and Namibia’s Rudolf Jansen van Vuuren.The 2027 edition will feature 57 matches in a revised three-stage format designed to boost competitiveness.

South Africa is expected to host the bulk of the games, with Zimbabwe and Namibia sharing the remainder. Australia will defend the title they won in India in 2023.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah described the return to Africa as a landmark moment, expressing confidence that the three nations will deliver an unforgettable event showcasing the region’s warmth, passion and diversity. ICC World Cup 2027 Venues

South Africa will host the majority of matches across eight venues – Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, Centurion in Tshwane, Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town, Kingsmead Cricket Ground in Durban, St George’s Park in Gqeberha, Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein, Boland Park in Paarl, and Buffalo Park in KuGompo City (formerly East London).

The final is expected to be held at either the Wanderers or Newlands, but the former leads the race as of now.

Zimbabwe will stage games at three grounds: Harare Sports Club in Harare, Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, and the newly constructed Fale Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls. The Victoria Falls venue, a 10,000-seater stadium, represents a significant addition and is scheduled for completion ahead of the tournament.

Namibia will host matches at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek, marking the nation’s first time staging senior ICC World Cup fixtures.
