Charles Leclerc has committed his future to Ferrari once again.
Just days before his home race at the Monaco Grand Prix, Ferrari announced that the Monegasque driver has signed a new long-term contract extension, ending months of speculation about his future and reaffirming his place at the centre of the team’s long-term plans.
While Ferrari did not disclose the exact length of the agreement, the announcement comes despite Leclerc already being under contract through the end of the 2029 season following a previous extension signed in 2024.

Why hasn’t the Charles Leclerc-Ferrari championship happened yet?
Despite his speed, Leclerc’s Ferrari career has often been defined by what might have been.
His best opportunity came in 2022 when Ferrari produced a car capable of challenging Red Bull early in the season. However, a combination of reliability issues, strategic errors and Red Bull’s rapid development allowed Max Verstappen to take control of the championship.
