India batter Jemimah Rodrigues has been ruled out of the remainder of The Hundred after suffering a hamstring injury while playing for Southern Brave, putting her availability for the upcoming Women’s T20 Asia Cup under a cloud.
Southern Brave confirmed on Saturday that Rodrigues would miss their final two matches, with Australian all-rounder Charli Knott signed as her injury replacement.

“We can confirm that due to an injury suffered by Jemimah Rodrigues, we’ve signed Charli Knott as our injury replacement for the remainder of The Hundred. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Jemi,” Southern Brave posted on X.
Jemimah Rodrigues forced out after strong Hundred campaign
Rodrigues had been one of Southern Brave’s key contributors this season, scoring 143 runs in six innings at an average of 35.75 and a strike rate of 131.19.
Her best score was an unbeaten 42, and her absence comes at a crucial stage of the competition, with Southern Brave still chasing a place in the final. They have two matches remaining against Manchester Super Giants and Trent Rockets.
The 25-year-old’s withdrawal means she will now turn her attention to rehabilitation, with the nature and severity of the hamstring injury yet to be confirmed.
Asia Cup availability now the major concern
For India, the bigger worry is Rodrigues’ fitness ahead of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup, which begins on August 28.
India open their campaign against Thailand in Dubai on August 30, giving Rodrigues just under three weeks to recover from the injury.
While her withdrawal from The Hundred could be a precaution designed to prevent the injury from worsening, the limited recovery window leaves her participation in India’s Asia Cup campaign uncertain.
Rodrigues’ availability will be particularly important for India given her role in the team’s middle order and her recent run of form in England.
The extent of the injury and her progress over the coming days will determine whether she can join India’s Asia Cup squad on schedule.
