Stella Hemetsberger Calls Body Kick Finish “The Best One Yet” After Winning US$50K Bonus

Stella Hemetsberger delivered another statement performance in the main event of ONE Fight Night 46. The Austrian two-sport queen successfully defended her ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title for the first time, stopping Russian challenger Natalia Diachkova via body kick knockout in round three.

Reflecting on her first successful title defense, Hemetsberger expressed pure joy over how the fight unfolded, staying true to the mindset she carried into the contest.

“Feeling amazing. It’s amazing. Like I said before the fight, my number one goal is always to put on a good fight, put on a good performance, and get out with the win. And if the knockout comes, it comes, and that’s just like the cherry on top,” Hemetsberger said.

After two competitive rounds, Hemetsberger landed a body kick that sent Diachkova retreating toward the ropes. She pressed forward relentlessly, unloading another devastating body kick before finishing the sequence with punches and a knee strike, prompting the referee to step in and wave off the contest.

The victory earned Hemetsberger a US$50,000 performance bonus and extended her winning streak inside ONE Championship to six straight fights. Her career record now stands at an impressive 11-1.

Breaking down the finishing sequence, Hemetsberger credited her corner for calling the decisive body shot that ultimately ended the fight. She admitted the moment still felt surreal even after the fact.

“I just tried to listen to my corner, and they were calling for a body shot. So that’s what I tried to execute. I think so. I’ll have to rewatch it, because it’s definitely very unreal to me. But I guess it’s the best one yet,” she said.

Looking toward the future, Hemetsberger remained open about her next move, hinting that a return to kickboxing competition could be on the horizon. For now, she plans to simply savor this latest win.

“Honestly, I’m always happy to fight whoever comes up against me. Maybe we’ll go for a kickboxing one next, but we’ll see whatever happens. Right now, I just want to enjoy this win, and we’ll see what comes next after that,” Hemetsberger said.
