Megastar Chiranjeevi has treated fans to a special birthday surprise with the announcement of his next project. The makers unveiled the title of the much-awaited film as Kaaka on August 22, giving audiences the first look at the world of the upcoming entertainer. The film is scheduled to hit cinemas on January 13, 2027, making it a Sankranthi release.
Chiranjeevi’s Mega158 titled Kaaka
The glimpse introduces Chiranjeevi as K Satyam, a supervisor working in the aqua industry. In an entertaining opening sequence, Satyam assures the Chennai team that the load will arrive on time before rejecting Sunil’s leave request and reminding him that their target is the upcoming festival. The sequence establishes his grounded, middle-class personality while adding humor.
Things take an unexpected turn when Getup Srinu tells Satyam about the scooter keys given to him by his daughter. Satyam asks him to throw the keys, but they end up falling into the water. A dog then arrives with a remote, allowing Satyam to retrieve the keys using a magnet. However, what comes out of the water along with the keys changes the mood completely, leading to the title announcement and a glimpse of Chiranjeevi’s more intense side.
The title glimpse subsequently shifts into a flashback featuring a younger and stylish Chiranjeevi. A gun-firing sequence sets the stage for a high-energy mass moment, teasing the actor in a vastly different avatar. Bobby Kolli’s film appears to explore the contrast between Satyam’s simple personality and the swagger of his younger character.
About Kaaka
Directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by Venkat K Narayana under KVN Productions, Kaaka stars Anaswara Rajan in a pivotal role. The technical crew includes editor Antony L Ruben, while writers are Kona Venkat, K Chakravarthy Reddy, Hari Mohana Krishna and Vineeth Potluri.
Chiranjeevi’s work front
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi has another major project lined up with director Mallidi Vassishta. Titled Vishwambhara, the film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 16. With Kaaka now joining his upcoming slate, fans have another big-screen outing to look forward to from the Megastar.
