Toxic (Hindi) Box Office Collection Day 2 (Early Updates): Yash starrer Toxic has been one of the biggest and one of the most awaited releases of the year. Marking the actor’s return to the big screen after 4 years, Toxic has been a gangster drama which brings Yash in a double role for the second time in his career. Helmed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic was released on August 26 and had hit the screens in Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and English languages. Apart from Yash, the movie came with a stellar cast of Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Akshaye Khanna, Huma Qureshi and Nayanthara.
Interestingly, Toxic marks Yash’s first collaboration with Geetu Mohandas and the movie has opened to a mixed response from the audience and critics. In fact, film business expert Sreedhar Pillai gave the movie a rating of 2.5 stars and tweeted, “It’s an out & out “Rocking Star” Yash film with him playing the ultimate alpha male and be warned violent. There is a dialogue by Yash – ‘I don’t like violence but violence likes me.’ The style and swagger that Yash brings to the screen is the saving grace of this gritty and dark film with a confusing story line, overlong and exhausting”. However, after a grand start Toxic saw a significant dip in numbers on the second day of release.
Toxic (Hindi) Evening Occupancy Day 2
According to a report published in Sacnilk, Toxic recorded an occupancy of 25.62% during evening shows on day 2 and failed to beat the footfalls of KGF 2 (64.46% ). However, Toxic did beat the occupancy of Kantara 2 which was 13.46%

To note, Toxic saw a drop of over 50% in numbers and failed to touch Rs 20cr until 9pm. The movie earned Rs 25cr on day 2 until 9 pm. In fact, Toxic had raked in Rs 15cr taking the overall collection to Rs 72cr. With a collection of Rs 15cr so far, Toxic will fail to beat the collection of KGF Chapter 2 which had earned Rs 46.79cr
Meanwhile, talking about Toxic, Kaira told Bombay Times, “With Toxic, I think it completely changes the way you see the man-woman dynamic. And in fact, even for me, when Geetu Mohandas narrated the script to me, it took a while for me to understand that okay, this is also normal. It may be grey, it may be not in your conventional space, but there’s a certain liberation in love”.
