Daayra Box Office Collection Day 4: Kareena Kapoor Khan, who recently celebrated her 46th birthday, is grabbing eyeballs on the professional front for her release Daayra. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the movie also features Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead and happens to be a crime thriller. Marking Kareena’s return to the big screen after two years, Daayra features Bebo in the role of a cop for the third time and also marks her first collaboration. Besides, Meghna has also returned to direction after three years with Daayra.
However, the stellar cast and Meghna’s impressive direction couldn’t save Daayra at the box office and the movie has emerged as a disaster. Daayra, which opened to a mixed response from the audience, recorded one of Kareena’s lowest openers. In fact, Daayra failed to pick up pace during the weekend amid its box office clash with Kunal Kemmu’s VIBE. And now, speculations were rife about the movie’s performance on Monday and which of the two films managed to lead on day 4.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Daayra witnessed a massive dip of 74.3% on the first Monday (day 4) and failed to earn even Rs 50 lakhs. In fact, Daayra has earned Rs 45 lakhs on Monday and total collection emerged as Rs 4.95cr after 4 days of release.

On the other hand, VIBE also witnessed a significant drop in numbers on Monday. While it failed to earn Rs 1cr on Monday, it still made double the collection of Daayra and earned Rs 90 lakhs at the domestic box office. As a result, VIBE stands at Rs 8.43cr after 4 days of release.
It is evident that Daayra has been truly a box office disaster and is likely to end its box office run below Rs 25cr. Meanwhile, Kareena is enjoying the birthday vibes and expressed her gratitude towards everyone. The actress took to her Instagram story and wrote, “Thank you, everyone. I have felt the love in each and every message you’ve sent my way… I’m forever grateful and I will only and always continue to be myself…. To make the best choices I can, with all your love and positivity by my side… Onwards and upwards peeps! Love you all, always and forever”.
