Brazil have advanced to the Round of 32 stages of the FIFA World Cup 2026 after a convincing outing in their group.
In Group C, Brazil have finished at the top after yet another win, this time against Scotland, as Selecao wrapped up their group stages with 7 points.

Vinicius Jr. scored two goals, with Matheus Cunha finding one as they won 3-0, thus cementing a place in the knockouts of the competition.
A Scotland defensive mistake led to Brazil’s first goal in the 7th minute. Vinicius pounced on another defensive howler and scored in the first half stoppage time to double Selecao’s lead. Matheus Cunha was found expertly by Bruno Guimaraes, and the former extended their lead. Carlo Ancelotti’s men will now wait for their Round of 32 opponent.
Who will Brazil play in the Round of 32?
Brazil’s knockout opponents are not confirmed yet. But the five-time World Champions are set to face second placed team from Group F in the Round of 32.
At the moment, the 2nd place is occupied by Japan, but it can change during the course of the World Cup. The Group F comprises the Netherlands, Japan, Sweden and Tunisia.
