Luke Lessei earns clear win at ONE Fight Night 45

American Muay Thai standout Luke Lessei produced a calm, sharp performance over three rounds to beat Mohamed Younes Rabah in the featherweight main event of ONE Fight Night 45 last Saturday. Lessei stayed composed, landed the cleaner strikes, and won by unanimous decision despite Rabah’s steady pressure.

The result mattered for Lessei because he has never lost two fights in a row. He rebounded from a previous defeat to interim champion Nico Carrillo and kept that record intact against Rabah, whom he described as one of his friends. “It felt great, I’m always happy to get a win. I’ve actually never lost two fights in a row. So I got that streak alive coming off a loss against a champion and a win against a top contender like Younes, who’s one of my friends. It feels great,” Lessei said.

Title hopes stay in view

After the win, Lessei turned to the wider featherweight Muay Thai picture. He said his results show he belongs near the top and wants to keep proving that with strong performances, whether in one or two more fights, or in a rematch with Nico Carrillo if that is offered.

“I think I’m a top contender. I want to keep reminding people with good performances, whether that’s one, two more fights, or if they want me to rematch Nico Carrillo, it doesn’t really matter,” he said. Lessei also said a ONE World Title chance may be one or two good performances away.
