Suakim Stuns Nabil Anane With Knockdown to Win Bantamweight World Title Eliminator at The Inner Circle 25

Suakim PongSuphan PK produced the biggest upset of the night at Lumpinee Stadium on August 7, overcoming former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane by split decision to win a crucial world title eliminator at The Inner Circle 25.

Suakim remained patient early on, carefully navigating Anane’s significant reach advantage before turning up the pressure in the second round with damaging leg kicks and body attacks. The Thai fighter then landed a hook to the body followed by a left hand to the chin, sending Anane to the canvas for an eight-count.

The knockdown proved decisive as Suakim maintained his composure through a grueling final round to secure the split-decision victory and move closer to a bantamweight Muay Thai world title opportunity.

In the co-main event, Abdulla Dayakaev defeated ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek for the second time, stopping “The Kicking Machine” at 39 seconds of the second round in their bantamweight Muay Thai rematch. Superlek was unable to continue after appearing to suffer a knee injury during an exchange.

Marat Grigorian also impressed, advancing to the semifinals of the ONE SAMURAI Featherweight Kickboxing Tournament with a dominant unanimous decision over Mamuka Usubyan. The Armenian veteran controlled the contest with relentless hooks and calf kicks to extend his winning streak to four fights.

Meanwhile, ONE Friday Fights 165 delivered its own share of action. Petninmungkorn Namkangiceland remained unbeaten in ONE Championship after edging Pet Suanluangrodyok by split decision in the atomweight Muay Thai main event. Petninmungkorn’s sharp left hooks, body attacks and spinning back elbow helped him prevail in a closely contested three-round battle.

Ilyas Musaev delivered one of the night’s most emphatic finishes, earning a 350,000-baht performance bonus after knocking out Suksawat PK Saenchai with a devastating body punch at 2:11 of the opening round in their bantamweight Muay Thai bout.
