India is all set to celebrate its 80th Independence Day on August 15, with the nation gearing up for a day filled with patriotism and pride. Riding high on the patriotic spirit, actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani has chosen the occasion to make his much-awaited return to the screen as an actor after a six-year hiatus.
Bhagnani marks his comeback with the new Independence Day anthem “Tere Rang Mein,” released under his music label Jjust Music. The song celebrates the spirit of the nation while giving audiences a glimpse of Bhagnani back in front of the camera.

Entrepreneur-producer Jackky Bhagnani has marked his return to the screens as an actor after six years with the Independence Day anthem, Tere Rang Mein, released under Jjust Music. Calling it an emotional decision, Bhagnani reveals what made him face the camera. “I am a patriot by heart. It’s been quite some time since I faced the camera. So, I thought the best way to come back is with the right cause,” said Bhagnani.
For the past eight years, Bhagnani has kept himself involved in film production. He reveals that staying away from the cameras was an intentional move. “I realised that I should produce my own films because if I do that, no one will question it. I felt that even in the films that were working, I wasn’t getting credibility. I wanted the street credibility and respect of Gen Z, they should see that this is made by me,” shared Bhagnani, who is looking for something “disruptive” to sign as an actor.
Meanwhile, Jackky’s wife Rakul Preet Singh is gearing up for the ambitious release, Ramayana, a mythological epic drama that sees her as Surpanakha. An elated Bhagnani says, “Rakul is my superstar. She has seen superstardom in the South. She has so much more to offer to the Hindi audience, and Ramayana will do that for her. Surpanakha can be a tricky character, but she has played it with elegance.”
