Brazilian striker Allycia Hellen Rodrigues retained her ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Championship with a split-decision win over undefeated Thai star Phetjeeja at The Inner Circle 19. The 28-year-old from Phuket Fight Club improved to 36-7 overall and 6-1 in ONE Championship.
The bout was Rodrigues’ toughest title defence and went the full five rounds. She said she believed she won most of the rounds, even though Phetjeeja pressed hard throughout the contest. Rodrigues called it a close fight but felt she did enough to keep the belt.

“It was a close fight, but I feel I won most of the rounds. I only lost one round, so I was a little bit unsure, but I was confident that I did enough to take the win,” Rodrigues said.
After the result, Rodrigues praised Phetjeeja and left room for a rematch. “We’re always ready, and we’re going to get better and better. I have so much respect for you and your story. It was a pleasure to share the ring with Phetjeeja. See you soon,” she said. She also said she is already training for MMA and hopes her next fight will be in the sport, with the MMA belt as her goal.
