While Batwara 1947 made a collection of Rs 50 lakhs in overseas on day 5, it is expected to see a dip and mint Rs 30 lakhs today (day 6/ first Wednesday) taking the overall collection to over Rs 7cr. On the other hand, the worldwide collection will be seen struggling to touch Rs 50cr mark

Emraan’s movie, which earned Rs 2cr in the overseas on day 6, will be seen eraning Rs 1.5cr taking the overall collection to over Rs 25cr while the worldwide collection will be crossing Rs 150cr mark today (first Wednesday)
Meanwhile, during an interview with SCREEN, producer Vishesh Bhatt opened up about the reason to make Awarapan 2 despite the box office failure of Awarapan and stated, “It’s great that today, because of the internet, people interpret so fast. They were able to see if Shivam is talking to God through “Tera Mera Rishta Purana” in the first part, now God is talking back to him in the sequel. That relationship is very important to someone as broken as Shivam. Emraan and I have experienced the heartache of the journey of Awarapan. We’d discussed that we’d take on this, and prove to ourselves that Awarapan was a good story and a good film to make. I wanted to reclaim the market and business side of Awarapan”.
