Daayra Box Office Collection Day 2 Prediction: Kareena Kapoor and Prithiviraj Sukumaran have collaborated for the first time in Daayra which premiered on September 18. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the crime thriller, the movie has been struggling to create buzz in the town ever since it was announced. And despite brining Kareena back on the screen after 2 years, Daayra failed to make the ticket windows ring and witnessed a disastrous start at the box office.
Daayra also brings back Meghna Gulzar on the director’s chair after three years. While Meghna’s direction, Kareena’s layered performance and Prithviraj’s command on his character left a mark, the second half of the movie isn’t much appreciated. As per a tweet by film critic Taran Adarsh, “The horrifying act, dramatic highs, and emotional undercurrents make #Daayra a gripping watch… That said, the film gets technical and talk-heavy at places, which could limit its reach”. And after a terrible start, Daayra is still struggling to pick pace.

To note, Daayra, which earned Rs 1cr on day 1 with 2,283 shows, is expecting to see a slight hike during the weekend considering it is a new release. the movie is expected to mint Rs 1.5-2cr today (day 2/ first Saturday) and will be trying it all to touch Rs 3cr mark in 2 days.
Daayra Morning Occupancy Day 2
Daayra even saw a rise in footfalls during the morning shows and recorded a footfall of 8.15% today as compared to 5.31% on day 1. In fact, the movie made a collection of Rs 14 lakhs from morning shows today until 1:30pm similar to that of the opening day
Meanwhile, Daayra has been witnessing a box office clash with Kunal Kemmu’s Vibe which won the opening box office day game with a collection of Rs 1.5 cr. It is worth a watch if Daayra can turn tables on the second day of release.
