Diksha Dagar Lone Indian to Make Cut at Women’s Scottish Open, Trails Leader Jenny Shin

Diksha Dagar emerged as the only Indian to survive the cut at the 2026 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open after carding a one-over 73 in the second round at Dundonald Links on Friday.

Following her opening-round 74, the Hero-supported golfer sits at three-over-par overall and is tied for 35th heading into the weekend. With two rounds still to play, Diksha remains in the hunt for a strong finish as she aims to improve her standing ahead of next week’s AIG Women’s Open, the final women’s Major of the season.

Her second-round effort featured three birdies on the second, seventh and 14th holes. However, bogeys on the third, sixth, 13th and 15th prevented her from climbing further up the leaderboard.

Pranavi Urs narrowly missed the weekend despite producing a vastly improved second-round display. After struggling to an opening 84, she bounced back with a one-under 71, a remarkable 13-shot improvement, but finished at 11-over overall. Avani Prashanth also failed to progress after rounds of 80 and 77.

The cut was set at six-over-par, with 65 players advancing to the final two rounds.

At the top of the leaderboard, South Korea’s Jenny Shin strengthened her grip on the tournament with another impressive round. After opening with a six-under 66, she followed it up with a five-under 67 to reach 11-under-par, giving herself a commanding five-shot advantage.

Shin recovered from an opening-hole bogey with birdies at the second, fifth and eighth before adding consecutive birdies on the 11th and 12th holes. She capped off another excellent day with a birdie on the final hole.

Germany’s Esther Henseleit occupies second place on six-under following a flawless four-under 68 that included an eagle and two birdies. South Korea’s A Lim Kim is alone in third at five-under after an even-par round.

A group of four players shares fourth place on four-under, including Thailand’s Pajaree Anannarukarn and Patty Tavatanakit, Japan’s Erika Hara and defending champion Lauren Coughlin. Meanwhile, Korea’s Ina Yoon climbed to eighth on three-under, while Ecuador’s Daniela Darquea and Korea’s Mi Hyang Lee are tied for ninth at one-under.
