Entertainment Live Updates Today In India (August 12): Operation Safed Sagar In Trouble; Actress Shweta Tiwari Hospitalized
To begin with, the hit Netflix show, Operation Safed Sagar: The Untold Story Of Kargil War, has landed in the middle of a controversy. Amid the roaring success, an army veteran has demanded a temporary suspension of the 6-episode hit Netflix series over an error in the tricolor draping on Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja’s coffin. Pointing out the mistake, ex-Army Officer Col Vembu Shankar, SC, shared a screengrab of the scene on Instagram, asking the makers to make the needed changes.
On the other hand, actress Shweta Tiwari has left his fans concerned after she was hospitalized right before The Traitors 2 premiere. For those unversed, the actress will be seen in the second season of the Karan Johar-hosted Prime Video show, premiering today.

Thudakkam Box Office Collection Day 5 Worldwide: Vismaya Mohanlal’s Film Nears ₹29 Cr
Vismaya Mohanlal-starrer Thudakkam maintained a largely steady pace at the Indian box office on its fifth day in theatres. According to box office tracking website Sacnilk, Thudakkam earned an estimated ₹1.61 crore net in India on Day 5. With the latest collection added, Thudakkam has recorded an estimated India net collection of ₹13.61 crore after five days. Its India gross has reached approximately ₹15.79 crore. Combining the India and overseas figures, Thudakkam has so far accumulated an estimated worldwide gross of ₹28.69 crore.

Indian Army veteran Col Vembu Shankar, SC, recently called out the “service headquarters and the military advisors” for overlooking the error in the tricolor. Taking to Instagram, the army veteran shared a screenshot of that scene and explained that “the saffron should have been towards the head”. He further demanded a temporary suspension of the Netflix show until the producers “digitally alter/edit the colour” of the national flag.
