Haiwaan Box Office Collection Day 2 Early Updates: Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan’s latest on-screen collaboration, Haiwaan, appears to be having a tough time at the box office. Directed by Priyadarshan, the Hindi remake of the Malayalam thriller Oppam arrived in cinemas on September 11.
Despite decent pre-release buzz around the film, Haiwaan seems to be struggling to convert that anticipation into box-office numbers following its release.
Haiwaan Opening Weekend Box Office Collection (Day 1)
Helmed by Priyadarshan, Haiwaan revolves around a gripping cat-and-mouse chase between Shyam (Saif Ali Khan), a visually impaired maintenance manager and martial arts expert, and Parshuram (Akshay Kumar), a ruthless ex-convict and psychopathic killer driven by revenge.
Despite the decent pre-release buzz, the film opened its box office run on a rather underwhelming note. According to Sacnilk, Haiwaan recorded a ₹3 cr net India collection on Day 1 across 7,224 shows, while its India gross stood at ₹3.60 cr. The film earned ₹1 cr gross overseas, taking its opening-day worldwide gross to ₹4.60 cr.
Haiwaan 2 Days Collection Early Trend (Saturday)
Despite the weekend window, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan’s Haiwaan is struggling to draw audiences to theatres on Saturday, with the film yet to touch the ₹5 crore mark in India net.
According to live Sacnilk data, Haiwaan has earned around ₹1.61 cr on Saturday (Day 2) till 8:30 PM. This takes its total India gross collection to ₹5.50 cr, while its India net stands at approximately ₹4.61 cr so far.
The film also appears to have witnessed a significant drop in show count today. As per the Sacnilk page, Haiwaan was running across 7,224 shows on Day 1 (Friday). However, the number has fallen to 4,901 shows on Saturday, indicating reduced screenings amid the underwhelming response.
