Haiwaan CBFC Rating And Runtime: After the back-to-back success of Bhooth Bangla and Welcome To The Jungle, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is returning to the silver screen with his new film Haiwaan. Reuniting once again with Priyadarshan, the much-awaited movie is touted as a crime thriller and also features Saif Ali Khan in the lead alongside the Khiladi star.

Haiwaan is now just days away from its theatrical release. Ahead of its arrival in cinemas, the film has achieved an important milestone. The latest update confirms that the movie has successfully received its Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) certificate. Yes, you read that right!
HAIWAAN CBFC CERTIFICATE (RATING) AND RUNTIME DETAILS
Haiwaan has cleared an important hurdle ahead of its theatrical release. The Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan starrer has received its certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). As per details shared by film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film was certified on September 8, 2026, and has been given a UA 16+ rating.
The certification means that Haiwaan has been cleared for release under the applicable UA 16+ category. Along with the certification details, the film’s runtime has also been revealed.
According to Taran Adarsh, Haiwaan has a total runtime of 164 minutes and 07 seconds, which comes to 2 hours, 44 minutes and 07 seconds. The film is now set to head towards its scheduled theatrical release with its certification in place.

Yes, it is said to be a remake of Priyadarshan’s own 2016 Malayalam film Oppam. Set to hit cinemas on September 11, 2026, the movie brings Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan together on screen after Tashan (2008). The film has an interesting thriller setup, with Saif playing Shyam, a blind caretaker who suddenly finds himself caught in a murder case.
Shyam’s life turns upside down when he is blamed for the killing of retired Judge Pradhan. With the police after him, he goes on the run and starts looking for answers to prove that he is innocent. His situation becomes more dangerous when he takes it upon himself to protect Nandini, who is revealed to be Pradhan’s secret daughter. But Shyam soon learns that powerful and dangerous people are also after her.
Akshay Kumar plays Parshuram, a ruthless killer who is determined to find Nandini. As Shyam tries to keep her safe while uncovering the truth behind the murder, he comes across a shocking secret about Nandini. The revelation adds another layer to the mystery and could change everything Shyam believes about the case.
Directed by Priyadarshan, Haiwaan also marks another collaboration between the filmmaker and Akshay Kumar. The duo have previously worked together on films including Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Bhooth Bangla. The movie is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under KVN Productions and Thespian Films.
Apart from Akshay and Saif, the cast includes Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Saiyami Kher, Sharib Hashmi, Rajpal Yadav, Rajesh Sharma, Pahal Chaudhary and Manoj Joshi.
