Hansika Lamba won silver in the women’s 55kg category at the Polyák Imre, Varga János & Kozma István Memorial Senior Ranking Tournament 2026 in Budapest on July 17, 2026, while Vishal Kaliraman and Rajat Ruhal added two bronze medals in men’s freestyle as India’s tally rose to five.
Lamba, a former U23 World Championship silver medallist, reached the final with a strong comeback against Germany’s Anastasia Blayvas. She trailed 2-7 in the semifinal before using a series of takedowns to win 10-7. In the final, she lost 0-5 on points (VPO) to Ukraine’s Nataliia Klivchutska.

The silver is another addition to Lamba’s record after her bronze at the 2026 Senior Asian Wrestling Championships. India’s freestyle wrestlers also delivered on the second day, with Kaliraman taking bronze in the 65kg class after beating Kazakhstan’s Ossumzhan Dastanbek 8-2 in the third-place play-off.
Rajat Ruhal secured the other bronze in the 125kg heavyweight division against USA’s Mason Mark Parris. Ruhal was declared the winner after Parris withdrew from the bout due to injury (VIN). The results followed India’s opening-day medals from Aman Sehrawat and Deepak.
