The makers of HARRD DISK have unveiled the teaser of the upcoming action-comedy suspense thriller, offering a glimpse into its high-stakes world of political intrigue, crime, humour and unexpected twists. Written, directed and produced by Udoyrraj Baruah, the film is slated to hit cinemas nationwide on August 21.
The teaser introduces viewers to a world where journalists, politicians, police officers, criminals and ordinary people find themselves connected by a chain of events surrounding a mysterious hard disk. As the stakes rise, shifting loyalties and hidden agendas begin to blur the lines between those who can be trusted and those who cannot.
The film features Nanda Yadav, known for her work in Shiksha Mandal and Why Cheat India, alongside Jaihind Kumar, who has previously appeared in Shiksha Mandal and Sirf Ek Banda Kaafi Hai, and Arnav Chandel of Hello Bachchon fame. Rahul Arora, Siddhartha Mukherjee and Chhabi Gauragai also feature in pivotal roles.
Nanda Yadav, who also serves as one of the producers of the film, plays Lakshmi, a character who operates in the grey and brings a strong, unconventional presence to the narrative. Speaking about her role, she shares, “Without revealing too much, I’d say Lakshmi thrives in ambiguity. She is intelligent, highly strategic, and unapologetically driven by her own interests. Rather than simply reacting to events, she often influences their course, making choices that constantly shift the dynamics of the story.”
Director Udoyrraj Baruah says, “With HARRD DISK, I wanted to explore what happens when information becomes more powerful than the people who possess it. Politics, corruption and power are part of the world of the film, but ultimately, it is about ordinary people getting caught in systems much bigger than themselves.”
Backed by Common Enterrtainment in association with Nayamigro Media and Xanthin, Harrd Disk promises a genre-blending theatrical experience that combines suspense, action and humour against a politically charged backdrop.
