IND vs URU, FIFA International Friendly Live Streaming Details: When & Where to Watch the India vs Uruguay Match?

Kolkata, Oct 6: India take on two-time World Cup winners Uruguay in their third and final high-profile match of the international window. India drew 1-1 with Panama before suffering a 4-0 defeat to Brazil in Kolkata.

India began the window with a 1-1 draw against Panama in Bengaluru before suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat to Brazil in Kolkata. While the Brazil clash was seen as the headline fixture, Uruguay present another formidable challenge, with the two-time FIFA World Cup champions boasting a squad filled with players accustomed to competing at the highest level of European football.

For India, the immediate objective will be to remain competitive and avoid another one-sided result against a heavyweight opponent.

Adding an intriguing subplot to the contest is Uruguay head coach Diego Forlan, a legendary figure in the country’s football history and a familiar name to Indian football fans. Forlan spent the 2016 season with Mumbai City FC in the Indian Super League, giving him first-hand experience of Indian football.

The former Uruguayan striker also featured in Mumbai City’s ISL semifinal against Atletico de Kolkata in Kolkata. That match, however, was played at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium and not at the iconic Salt Lake Stadium, which will host India’s meeting with Uruguay.

With Uruguay’s pedigree and Forlan’s connection to Indian football, the fixture promises to be another significant test for the Indian national team.
