Mercedes-Benz Backs India’s Fast-Growing Padel Ecosystem

Padel has witnessed rapid growth in India over the past few years, driven by an expanding network of courts and increasing participation across major cities.

The Indian Padel Tour has emerged as the country’s premier professional circuit, offering a structured calendar comprising Grand Slams, City Opens and special events while contributing to India’s national ranking system.

PadelPark India Co-Founder Jigar Doshi said the partnership represents much more than sponsorship. “The Indian Padel Tour was created with a simple ambition: to build the competitive ecosystem that every great sport needs. While participation introduces people to padel, competition inspires them to improve, dream bigger and stay engaged with the sport for years to come,” Doshi said.

“We are proud to welcome Mercedes-Benz India as the Title Partner of IPT. This partnership is a shared commitment to building the future of padel in India and establishing the country as one of the world’s most exciting emerging markets for the sport.”

The upcoming season promises to be the biggest in the tournament’s history.

Key Highlights

  • 19 professional tournaments
  • 10 major Indian cities
  • Season runs from August 2026 to June 2027
  • Opens in Mumbai and concludes in Bengaluru

The expanded calendar is aimed at providing consistent competitive opportunities for both emerging and established players while helping strengthen India’s domestic padel ecosystem.

Defining Milestone for Indian Padel

PadelPark India Co-Founder Pratik Doshi described the collaboration as a landmark moment for the sport.

“The Indian Padel Tour was established to create a structured competitive platform that supports the long-term growth and professionalisation of padel in India. Partnering with a globally respected brand like Mercedes-Benz India is a defining milestone for the tour,” he said.

Doshi added that the partnership would help elevate player experiences, engage a wider audience and contribute to the continued development of padel across the country.

Mercedes-Benz Extends Sporting Commitment

The announcement coincided with the launch of the Mercedes-AMG E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+, the company’s first electrified AMG E-Class model in India.

Powered by a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor, the plug-in hybrid performance sedan delivers a combined output of 585 hp (430 kW), blending AMG’s signature driving dynamics with improved efficiency.

Built on the iconic E-Class nameplate-India’s longest-running luxury sedan with a legacy spanning over three decades-the AMG E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ offers the versatility of an all-electric commute for everyday driving while retaining the high-performance capabilities expected from an AMG, including exhilarating track-ready performance.

Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and CEO Santosh Iyer said the company’s association with the Indian Padel Tour reflects its commitment to performance beyond the automotive world.

“For us, performance extends beyond the car and into the experiences we build with our customers and communities, whether that’s on a racetrack or, as we’ve seen recently, on a padel court through our partnership with the Indian Padel Tour,” Iyer said.

“The AMG E 53 HYBRID reflects that same commitment to precision engineering, paired with a highly personalised ownership experience for Indian customers.”

Boost for the Sport’s Future

As India’s flagship professional padel circuit, the Mercedes-Benz Indian Padel Tour is expected to play an increasingly important role in nurturing talent, expanding participation and bringing world-class competition to Indian audiences.

For PadelPark India, the multi-year agreement represents another major step towards creating a sustainable, globally competitive padel ecosystem while reinforcing India’s status as one of the sport’s fastest-growing markets.
