Moise Kean Fiorentina Transfer Outlook This Summer

Fiorentina sporting director Fabio Paratici admits the club cannot be sure Moise Kean stays beyond this summer, despite strong performances. Interest from AC Milan grows as the forward’s contract runs until June 2029, leaving Fiorentina facing a possible key departure during the current transfer window.

Kean finishes this Serie A season as Fiorentina’s leading league scorer with eight goals, despite fitness problems affecting the 26-year-old. The campaign follows a difficult spell at Juventus, where Kean records 0 goals in 19 league appearances during 2023-24 before returning to form in Florence.

Paratici stresses that negotiations remain active across the squad. “We are in a transfer window. There are discussions with the footballers and their entourages. Its a normal thing,” said Paratici, underlining that decisions may change quickly once firm offers arrive for Fiorentina and Moise Kean.

Kean’s earlier time at Fiorentina brings even stronger numbers, as the striker scores 19 goals in 32 Serie A matches during the first season with La Viola. That domestic form continues on the international stage, where Kean hits six goals in five games for Italy’s failed World Cup qualifying campaign, which ends with defeat to Bosnia-Herzegovina in the play-offs.

Paratici refuses to reveal private discussions about Fiorentina and Moise Kean. “Im definitely not here to tell you the whole truth of what we say to each other with players and their entourage during this transfer window, to be honest.” The sporting director instead focuses on Kean’s long relationship with the club structure.

That link goes back many years for Paratici. “As for Kean, he is absolutely a heritage of Italian football and Fiorentina. Everyone knows how fond I am of him; I watched him grow from when he was nine years old until the Champions League. Ive also already sold him once under my management. I am as fond of him as I am of all the footballers I have had.”

Paratici accepts Fiorentina and Moise Kean face external pressures from larger clubs in Europe. “But we are in a market period. We hope and want him to be our No.9. But all football clubs are not masters of their fate on the market, apart from the top five or six in the world.” For now, Fiorentina must wait to see whether offers arrive.
