ONE World Title Fight: Two-Time Champion Stella Hemetsberger Defends Title Against Russian Knockout Artist

ONE Championship has announced the main event for ONE Fight Night 46. Two-sport ONE World Champion Stella Hemetsberger will defend her ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Title against Russian finisher Natalia Diachkova on Saturday, 15 August.

The bout marks Hemetsberger’s first title defense since capturing strawweight Muay Thai gold. The Austrian champion has established herself as one of the striking arts’ most complete female competitors through victories across multiple rule sets.

The 27-year-old from RS-GYM and Phuket Fight Club carries a 10-1 record and a perfect 5-0 ONE mark. Hemetsberger’s journey to championship status began via ONE Friday Fights, where she claimed three consecutive victories. Those impressive performances earned her a US$100,000 main roster contract.

Her title shot came against then-champion Jackie Buntan. The two warriors engaged in a five-round war for the vacant strawweight Muay Thai crown. Hemetsberger proved superior across all rounds, securing a unanimous decision victory while becoming Austria’s first-ever ONE World Champion.

Five months later, Hemetsberger and Buntan collided again. This time, they battled for Buntan’s kickboxing title. Both competitors left everything inside the ring during another five-round battle. The judges awarded a split decision to Hemetsberger, making her ONE’s third two-sport women’s World Champion.

ONE World Champion: Russian Diachkova Stands In The Way

Standing across from her will be the 31-year-old Russian challenger Diachkova from Team Mehdi Zatout. The explosive striker carries a 32-5 career record and 6-1 ONE Championship mark with four victories via knockout.

Diachkova also launched her ONE journey through ONE Friday Fights in 2023. She claimed four victories to secure her six-figure contract in 2024. Her early promotional success positioned her for a title opportunity that came quickly.

However, her first title shot ended unsuccessfully. The loss forced Diachkova to rebuild her championship credentials. She responded with two consecutive victories that reignited her pursuit of gold.

Now Diachkova gets another opportunity at title glory. Her knockout power and aggressive fighting style make her a legitimate threat to Hemetsberger’s reign. The Russian’s relentless pressure could trouble the Austrian champion throughout five rounds.
