Padma Awards 2026: The Padma Awards 2026 celebrated excellence across cinema, music, sports, arts, and public service, bringing together some of the country’s most accomplished personalities under one roof. At the second Civil Investiture Ceremony held in New Delhi today (June 23), President Droupadi Murmu presented 65 Padma Awards, including 2 Padma Vibhushan, 7 Padma Bhushan and 56 Padma Shri. recognising individuals whose contributions have left a lasting impact on Indian society.
Among the most talked-about names this year were Mammootty, R Madhavan, Alka Yagnik, Rohit Sharma, and several other distinguished achievers.

Legendary Malayalam superstar Mammootty was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian honour. The 74-year-old actor-producer was recognised for his decades-long contribution to Indian cinema and his immense influence on the entertainment industry.
2) R Madhavan

3) Alka Yagnik

Veteran actor Satish Kaushik was posthumously awarded the Padma Shri. The honour was accepted on behalf of the late actor by a family member, making it one of the ceremony’s most emotional moments.
Other notable Padma Shri recipients included actors Rajendra Prasad, Maganti Murali Mohan, Anil Kumar Rastogi, and renowned folk artist Guru Sangyusang Pongener, among several distinguished personalities recognised for their contributions across diverse fields.
