In a recent podcast with Cyrus Broacha, Shailendra recalled a time when he had paid a visit to Salman Khan at his home in the Galaxy Apartment years ago. Revisiting the moment from their regular Monday visit at the Galaxy, Singh revealed how he was once surprised when a “strange looking guy” suddenly came, wore gloves, and started injecting Salman’s scalp while he was enjoying his biriyani.
“In those days, we used to have Monday night parties. He was sitting at the dining table, eating, and looking at himself in the mirror. He likes to eat while looking in the mirror. There’s a small table in the kitchen with a mirror in front, so you’re sitting next to him, but you’re actually talking through the mirror,” the producer shared.
He added, “He’s sitting there eating biryani-you know Salman, he enjoys his food, especially after a few drinks. Suddenly, this strange-looking guy walks in, puts on gloves, takes out a needle and starts injecting his scalp. I’m watching all of this in the mirror and thinking, ‘What the f* is going on here?'”. When he asked Khan about what was happening, the actor replied, “‘There’s a price to pay to be a star, bro’.” “He kept eating while the treatment continued,” he recalled.
In the same podcast, producer Shailendra Singh, who is also the co-founder of Sunburn Festival, revealed that around the same time, celebrity manager Reshma Shetty had mentioned that Salman Khan was starting to go bald, prompting the actor to explore hair restoration procedures.

Ever since Salman Khan’s hair treatment story surfaced, fans have been curious about the procedure. So, what exactly is PRP treatment?
Basically, PRP (Platelet-rich plasma) is a regenerative procedure that uses a person’s own blood to promote healing and tissue repair. Explaining the treatment, Singh continued, “So, basically, they take your blood. They fortify it in a lab… That time it was illegal.”
He further claimed that several celebrities now undergo PRP treatment for hair thinning. “At that time, I didn’t know what it was. I think everyone does it now-Hrithik does it, everybody does it. As you grow older and your hair starts thinning, you have to do these things,” the producer concluded.
