According to media reports, Sunny was allegedly unhappy with Darr’s climax and two got into an ugly argument. The media reports also suggested that Sunny, being the protagonist of the movie, wasn’t satisfied with how his character was portrayed in front of SRK’s antagonist role. The lead to a heated tiff between the two which went on for over 16 years wherein Sunny even tore his jeans with bare hands on the sets in fit of rage and even left everyone brimming with an opinion. Sunny Deol Opens Up On Tiff With SRK
During his recent interview with Shubhankar Mishra, Sunny recalled the moment of rage and opened up about the tiff with SRK. He stated, “At a younger age, main yeh toh nahi kahunga ki ek doosre se voh cheez nahi hoti hai. Voh hoti hai. I’m not an insecure person, but because of insecurity, kitne actors bohot kuch aise cheezein kar jaate hain jo unhe karne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Because we can only be the character we are, we cannot be anything beyond that. But somehow, quite a lot of actors feel insecure, and uski vajah se phir vibes galat ho jaati hain, cheezein aisi ho jaati hain jiski hone ke koi zaroorat nahi thi. But then, that’s the reality of filmmaking”.
Is Sunny Deol Friends With Shah Rukh Khan Now?
According to media reports, Sunny and SRK had reported ending during Gadar 2 success party. However as the Batwara 1947 actor was quizzed about his current equation with King Khan and if they are still friends, to this Shubhankar stated, “Toh uss waqt bhi kahin dushman toh nahi the. Haan, dost means, we’re all colleagues. Film industry main I would say we are all more like colleagues rather than, you know”. While it was evident that he doesn’t consider Shah Rukh Khan as his friend, the Gadar actor explained, “Dosti voh hoti hai jahan aap nange ho, aur voh bachpan main hi hoti hai”.
Meanwhile, Sunny Deol is currently creating waves with his recent release Batwara 1947 which is a period drama also featuring Preity Zinta, Ali Fazal, Karan Deol and Shabana Azmi. The movie has so far earned Rs 28.9cr nett in India and has been crushed at the box office by Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2.
