Toxic vs Animal Box Office Collection: Yash is all over the headlines these days and rightfully so. After all, his upcoming movie Toxic has taken over the industry by a storm. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is a period gangster drama which has been grabbing eyeballs for its gory action, bloodshed, violence and sizzling chemistry. Also starring Tara Sutaria, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Nayanthara, etc Toxic marks Yash’s first collaboration with the leading ladies and also with the director which has added to the excitement among the audience.
Interestingly, ahead of its release, Toxic is being compared to Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal which was helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Wondering if the two have similar plot? Well, no. But the fans have been drawing comparisons as both the movies revolve around a morally dark male protagonist who has a larger-than-life, intense, aggressive persona. On the other hand, the violence and brutal action sequences in Toxic, dark theme, stylish presentation and the pan India have also left the audience drawing comparisons between the two. According to a report published in Sacnilk, while Animal made a total collection of Rs 33.97cr from advance booking (including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages), it raked in Rs 29.25cr alone in Hindi language. On the other hand, Toxic, which still has three days for release, has earned Rs 20.03cr from advance booking (including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam) and Rs 8.9cr happens to be in Hindi alone. Given Toxic’s massive buzz, the Yash starrer is expected to beat Animal in terms of presales in India

Talking about the opening day collection, Animal made a collection of Rs 63.8cr including all languages combined and raked in Rs 54.75cr in Hindi. On the other hand, if early predictions are to be believed to mint over Rs 40cr in Hindi as of now as quoted by film business expert Rohit Jaiswal.
Meanwhile, talking about Toxic, Yash, during an event stated that women will love the movie. He stated, “Society… they may say, they may not accept it but the point is everybody will look upon you. I am not respected for my money, I am respected for my work, and I know the director will prove that every woman and every girl can face every kind of situation, express their thoughts, express their vision and succeed in this society.
