Game Changers Lions were crowned champions of Season 4 of the World Padel League after defeating Aussie Mavericks Jaguars 19-10 in the final to claim their first title in the competition.
The Lions entered the championship match after overcoming Vedanta Leopards 16-13 in the opening semi-final, while the Jaguars secured their place in the final with a 15-11 victory over VB Realty Cheetahs.

The final began with Beatriz Gonzalez and Paula Josemaria representing the Lions against Alejandra Alonso and Claudia Jensen of the Jaguars. Gonzalez and Josemaria established an early advantage and held their composure to secure the opening set 6-3.
Federico Mourino and Teodoro Zapata then strengthened the Lions’ position in the second set. The pair produced a disciplined display to defeat Ignacio Piotto and Enzo Jensen 6-2, leaving the Lions within touching distance of the championship.
The Jaguars responded strongly in the deciding set, with Pol Hernandez and Guille Collado taking on Gonzalo Alfonso and Sanyo Gutierrez. The contest remained closely fought throughout, but the Lions produced the decisive moments late in the set to secure a 7-5 victory and complete a memorable championship triumph.
Earlier, the Lions had been pushed hard by the Leopards in the semi-final. Gonzalez and Josemaria gave the Lions the lead with a 6-4 win over Marta Ortega and Veronica Virseda. The Leopards levelled the tie after Francisco Guerrero and Javi Ruiz defeated Mourino and Zapata 6-4.
With the semi-final going to a deciding set, Alfonso and Gutierrez delivered for the Lions, defeating Miguel Deus and Nuno Deus 6-3 to book their place in the final.
The second semi-final between the Jaguars and Cheetahs was similarly competitive. Jensen and Alonso put the Jaguars ahead with a 6-3 win over Aranzazu Osoro and Carla Mesa. The Cheetahs responded through Jon Sanz and Jesus Moya, who beat Piotto and Enzo Jensen 6-3 to level the tie.
The deciding set ultimately went the Jaguars’ way, with Hernandez and Collado defeating Coki Nieto and Lucho Capra 6-2 to secure their place in the championship match.
Season 4 delivered a high standard of competition, featuring closely contested ties and strong performances from some of the leading names in padel. In the end, Game Changers Lions emerged as the standout team, finishing their campaign with a historic maiden World Padel League title.
