Baththa Opens In Theatres: Vijay Sethupathi’s Tamil action drama Baththa has arrived in cinemas today, October 1. Written and directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan, the film features Lijomol Jose alongside Vijay Sethupathi. Produced by Cine1 Studios, A for Apple Studios and Star Studio18, the film also had premiere screenings on September 30. The film has also been receiving positive reactions following the premiere screenings.
The Paradise Box Office Day 7: According to Sacnilk, Nani’s The Paradise recorded an estimated India net collection of ₹3.40 crore on Day 7, taking its India net total to ₹104.90 crore. The film’s India gross has reached ₹123.95 crore, while its overseas gross stands at ₹30.85 crore. With this, the film’s worldwide gross collection has climbed to ₹154.80 crore. The Day 7 figure marks a 22.7% decline from the previous day’s ₹4.40 crore net collection, as per Sacnilk.
Pratyusha Banerjee Case: In a major development reported by PTI, the Bombay High Court has discharged Rahul Raj Singh in the case concerning the alleged abetment of television actor Pratyusha Banerjee’s suicide. Banerjee, known for playing Anandi in Balika Vadhu, died in April 2016. Singh, who was her boyfriend at the time, had been accused of abetting her suicide.
