A host of clubs have circled around the Jamshedpur FC players, who are clubless after the conclusion of Durand Cup.
Jamshedpur FC have officially withdrawn from the 2026-27 Indian Super League (ISL), bringing an end to the Tata Steel-owned club’s nine-year journey in India’s top-flight football. The 2021-22 ISL League Shield winners chose not to pay the mandatory ₹55 lakh participation fee under the league’s new club-led model, despite receiving an extension until July 31. Instead, the club decided to cease operations, while Inter Kashi completed the payment to secure their place in the competition.

The club cited persistent cash-flow issues and an economically unsustainable football model as the primary reasons behind its exit. Tata Steel later confirmed that the shutdown was a board-level decision but assured that all existing player contracts would be honoured.
But after the Durand Cup duties, all of their players find themselves in a predicament, without a club. Amid this development, there are multiple players who have gained the widespread attention of other clubs.
MyKhel understands there are multiple clubs reaching out to multiple players of the club, presenting their project to them. With the transfer window still open, the players won’t have any hindrance in penning a deal or conversing with multiple clubs before they choose to sign for a club.
Mohammed Sanan wanted by Mohun Bagan, East Bengal
Amid a host of players, Mohammed Sanan is a wanted man. The Kerala-born player has been a live wire for JFC in recent times, gaining interest across the clubs. MyKhel can confirm that both Mohun Bagan SG and East Bengal are interested in the player and are pursuing a potential deal.
Another Indian player in demand is Raynier Fernandes, who has suitors as well. He joined JFC this summer and now finds himself in a pickle. The 30-year-old scored a hat-trick against Defenders SC in the Durand Cup recently.
The veteran Pronay Mondal has interest in the market, while big names such as Pratik Chaudhari, Nikhil Barla and others are expected to have multiple clubs interested in them.
