Masaaki Noiri Shatters Liu Mengyang’s Hopes With Stunning Revenge Knockout At ONE SAMURAI 2

The ONE SAMURAI Featherweight Kickboxing Tournament quarterfinals delivered pure drama on Saturday, 8 August, at EBARA WAVE Arena Ota in Tokyo, Japan, as hometown favourites and hardened international contenders clashed for places in the semifinals, headlined by two ruthless knockouts and one hard-fought decision.

Masaaki Noiri exacted long-awaited revenge on Liu Mengyang, trading uppercuts before landing a right hand and left hook that wobbled the Chinese star, then crashing home a finishing left hand to end matters in the opening round, avenging his December 2024 defeat and improving to 52-14.

Mohammad Siasarani made it two victories over Kaito, patiently reading his opponent’s movement before unleashing a fight-ending high left kick that crumpled the Japanese striking star in the opening round, earning his 29th career victory, remaining unbeaten in ONE kickboxing, and booking a semifinal date with Noiri.

Luo Chao outpointed promotional debutant Kosuke Takagi via unanimous decision in an action-packed back-and-forth battle, rallying with a relentless punching barrage in the third round after Takagi had controlled the momentum, improving to 44-11 and booking a semifinal clash with Marat Grigorian, who won a day earlier.
With the quarterfinals complete, the semifinal picture is set: Noiri meets Siasarani, while Luo squares off with Grigorian, both one win away from a place in the tournament final and a shot at reigning champion Superbon’s ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title later this year.
