Pradeep Rawat Funeral: Renowned actor Pradeep Rawat, who is known for his role of Ghajini in Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini, is no more with us. The actor breathed his last on August 4 at the age of 74. According to media reports, he was battling with blood cancer for a while and it had relapsed around one and ha half months ago. In fact, Pradeep breathed his last in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital after his health deteriorated. The news of his unfortunate demise was confirmed by his managed Siddharth Tiwari.
Talking to the Times of India, Siddharth Tiwari revealed that Pradeep Rawat had survived cancer four years ago but it had relapsed recently and he was hospitalised for a month now. However, Pradeep’s platelets dropped and he couldn’t recover. Siddharth confirmed that the Lagaan actor passed away between 6-6:30pm on Tuesday (August 4, 2026) and the news of his demise has sent down a wave of shock and grief across the industry. To note, Pradeep is survived by his wife Kalyani Rawat and his son Vikramaditya Rawat.
Pradeep Rawat Funeral Details
As per a report published in the Times of India, Pradeep Rawat’s funeral will take place on Wednesday evening. While the antim darshan will take place between 2-4 om at his Goregaon residence, the creamtion will be done near the Oshiwara Bridget on SV Road, Jogeshwari West.
Meanwhile, several celebs have mourn the demise of Pradeep, who got his shot to fame with his stint as Ashwatthama in BR Chopra’s Mahabharat. Meanwhile, Pradeep’s co-star from Dharmarakshak Mahaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Mahara Thakur Anoop Singh penned a heartfelt note for him and wrote, “I’ve had the greatest privilege of working with this fine artist. From watching you play Ashwatthama as a child in 1990, to growing up watching you as Ghajini to playing your son in Achari America Yatra or your enemy in Dharmarakshak Chh. Sambhaji Maharaj, off the camera you have only been a guiding light and an inspiration to fight with life’s battles. Those who know you know what a journey you have had & i shall always cherish our memories and learning’s from you! You lived like a lion, now rest in peace”.
