Shashi Tharoor Slams India After England Clinch T20I Series with Dominant Win

Senior Congress MP Shashi Tharoor did not hold back after India’s crushing nine-wicket defeat to England in the fourth T20I, describing the latest result as “one humiliation too many” after the visitors conceded an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.

England chased down India’s 159-run target in just 13.5 overs at Bristol, with captain Harry Brook and Phil Salt both scoring unbeaten half-centuries to wrap up the series with a game to spare.

Tharoor’s blunt reaction goes viral

Following another one-sided defeat, Tharoor took to X to vent his frustration over India’s struggles in England.

“I’m truly speechless. Dumbfounded. Gobsmacked. This is one humiliation too many. There is literally nothing to be said.”

His post quickly gained traction on social media as criticism mounted over India’s performances throughout the series.

England complete dominant series win

Brook and Salt stitched together an unbeaten century partnership to make light work of the chase, extending England’s dominance after already winning the previous two completed matches.

The result handed England an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series, while India remain without a victory under new T20I captain Shreyas Iyer.

With one match still to play, India will now look to avoid a series whitewash when the two sides meet in the fifth and final T20I in Southampton.
