Vishwanath & Sons recorded a 65 per cent spike on its second Saturday. It added Rs. 8.25 crore to the tally, bringing the second week’s cume to Rs. 13.25 crore. The movie stormed past Rs. 100 crore mark on Day 9 and now stands at Rs. 106 crore gross at the Indian box office.
It is expected to close this weekend around Rs. 20-23 crore, which will take its running cume close to Rs. 115 crore or so. The Suriya and Mamitha Baiju starrer needs to show a better hold on weekdays, especially while facing Toxic in the coming week.

That said, the movie emerged as a Clean HIT venture in the Telugu states; however, it’s underwhelming in its home turf.
In Tamil Nadu, the Suriya starrer fetched around Rs. 40 crore so far. The overall box office performance of Vishwanath & Sons will be decent thanks to an impressive run in APTS, but Tamil Nadu distributors are going to lose heavily.
